C.A.R.E. was established in order to fill a large gap in the Halton Hills community in funding youth programs and links to resources for at-risk youth.

C.A.R.E. works closely with the Youth Services Network, ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids), Bridging the Gap, school counselors and officials, and the Halton Region Youth System Navigator to identify at-risk youth and funding needs as pertaining to homelessness, hunger, lack of clothing or transportation, funding for a mental health and addiction counseling, job and life skills training clinics facilitated at the youth centres located in Acton and Georgetown, as well as funds to assist homeless youth with basic necessities.

On top of the above areas, funds have also been used to establish scholarships for students identified as "at-risk" youth due to one or more of the following issues: socio-economic environment, social relationships, family/school situations, and/or learning difficulties at GDHS, CTK, and Acton High Schools.

We are very excited to be planning our Movie Under the Stars event for 2021, which will be held on August 21st, 2021.
